I am officially at the 3 mile mark. After two weeks of training I've got the first three miles under my belt. The race is still 6 months away, but it is a huge relief to see that I have been able to make some progress. I've been told on several occasions that the first 3 miles are the hardest. My body was fighting me for the first 2.5 miles, but after I convinced my body that I was going to keep on running, it finally gave in and the last half of a mile wasn't so bad. 3 miles was my goal for the week so I didn't want to try to push myself any farther than that. If any of you are interested in joining me in the March race feel free!!! :)
