While in the trenches of this first trimester, I catch myself daydreaming about my fitness goals.

Lots of people have a Bucket List or a list of things they want to do during the course of their life or places they'd like to see. I am all about dreaming, setting goals, and seeing as much of God's green earth as I can.

Here are a few goals I have come up with and will be ready to tackle post pregnancy:

1. Complete a marathon

I have 3 half marathons under my belt but have yet to tackle a full. I want the Disney Marathon to be the first one I take on. I am a Disney fan for sure and have been to Disney World more times than I can count. Hey, I spent 3 years living in Orlando and loved it.

Animal Kingdom

Epcot on my birthday. AMAZING!

I am hoping for Disney 2015. That is so far away! I cannot think of a more fun marathon to run. I did the Disney Princess Half Marathon in 2010 and it was my first half. Perfect first half in my opinion!

2. Complete a Sprint Triathlon

Running I can do.

Biking, probably.

Swimming, not so sure.

A Sprint Triathlon is a 0.5 mile swim, 12.4 mile bike, and a 3.1 mile run.

I think it would be so fun and quite challenging to add a swimming and biking element. My sister is pregnant too, 4 weeks ahead of me, and we've decided to try and train for one post baby. There is a local one in our hometown that is small and I think would be a great first tri to try ;) See what I did there? The runners literally run through my parents' neighborhood.

I don't even know where to begin with training. I have no place to swim here in Mississippi and not sure what type of bike I'd need. Clueless! I will cross those bridges when I get there.

3. Get Certified in Group Exercise

I have been a certified Zumba Fitness instructor for nearly 3 years and love it! I would love to continue my education and branch out a bit into other fitness areas. I have a lot to learn but really enjoy the fitness world.

I know it requires a few written exams and there are workshops to attend. That intimidates me a bit. I hope I can muster up the confidence to give it a shot. I would like to branch out and teach water aerobics and boot camp type classes.

So there you have it. 3 bullets on my Fitness Bucket List.

I am hoping these are goals I can work towards post pregnancy and hopefully you'll read about me marking each one off of my list. :)

  3. Great goals! I am toying with the notion of a full marathon, I completed my first and only half last year, but I haven't fully committed yet...I do think the Disney marathon would definitely be the perfect one though!
